The Chromag Shift Knee Pad is built for riders who want dependable trail protection without committing to bulky restrictive gear. It exceeds EN 1621-1:2012 Level 2 impact standards while remaining comfortable enough for long days that mix sustained climbs, technical traverses, and demanding descents.

At the core of the Shift is a next-generation RHEON™ insert that stays soft and flexible while pedaling, then reacts instantly to impact. The insert is three-dimensionally shaped to wrap naturally around the knee, increasing coverage while strategically opening airflow to reduce heat and unnecessary weight. This allows the pad to feel low-profile and free-moving without compromising protection.

The form-fitting sleeve is constructed from durable, high-stretch performance fabric that moves with the leg and maintains breathability through high-output riding. A contoured internal bracing layer wraps through the upper calf, linking the insert to the sleeve and helping stabilize the pad when things get rough. The impact zone is finished with a reinforced abrasion-resistant panel to handle repeated trail contact.

To keep the Shift securely in place, the upper cuff uses a wide silicone-impregnated band with a segmented vertical grip pattern rather than a solid silicone strip. This design spreads traction across a larger surface area, allowing the cuff to stretch and move freely without pulling at the skin. The open pattern improves moisture movement and reduces heat buildup while maintaining a reliable, non-slip hold through long climbs and hard impacts.
